Happy Holidays! Taking a Blog Holiday...

I'll be taking a blog holiday until after the new year.

Until then, I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and a healthy, happy, book-filled 2009!

Cheers!

READKIDDOREAD.com

I discovered recently that James Patterson has started a new website dedicated to helping people help kids become readers for life.

On this site you can find book recommendations, Patterson's interviews with authors Rick Riordan, Jeff Kinney, and Julie Andrews, as well as community pages, and a place to sign up for a newsletter.

Just like I have for Jon Scieszka's Guys Read website, I'm adding this site to my sidebar as a great place to start when looking for good books for young readers. READKIDDOREAD.com is off to a great start and I'm sure the site will only continue to expand.

I'm also thrilled that Savvy is one of the recommended books on the website!

Booksigning Blur - Thanks to every who came out!

Such a nice evening at the Boulder Bookstore last night! But these things do tend to go by in a blur...

I always wish that I had more time to talk one-on-one with everyone who stops by. If you were there, THANKS! It was a pleasure to have so many great people come out to say "hi," sit and listen for a while, and buy some books.

If you weren't able to make it and are wondering if you can still get a signed copy of Savvy, I left about 12-15 signed books in stock at the Boulder Bookstore.

There was also a very nice article in the Boulder Daily Camera yesterday as well, and I appreciate everyone who came after reading the feature.

Cheers!

The Boulder Bookstore - Book Signing Wednesday, December 10th

Join me in Boulder, Colorado, at The Boulder Bookstore at 6:30 pm! I'll be speaking and signing copies of Savvy, just in time for the holidays.

The Boulder Bookstore is the independent bookshop I grew up in. I even helped them out years and years ago when I was a teen. I put mailing labels on holiday catalogs and filled in every now and then as a cashier. The Boulder Bookstore has been a fixture in Boulder since 1973. My family moved to Boulder in 1976.

For more information about the store, location, parking, etc, click HERE.

Maybe I'll see you there!

Oldest and Hiccup and the Most Fun Interview Ever

I had great fun answering questions about Savvy recently for two very savvy, very funny girls, Oldest and Hiccup!

Check out the girls' blog post HERE, where Oldest and Hiccup show their talents for putting together a great interview and making it fun for everyone! I see great things on the rise for these two.
